Welcome to the Pelican Park Nature Book Club!
We meet once a month to discuss a book related to the natural world. Our next meeting will be at Northlake Nature Center on February 24th at 6:00 PM around a campfire at the outdoor amphitheater. We will discuss "Adventures of a Louisiana Birder" by Marybeth Lima. The St. Tammany Parish Library has multiple copies available, as well as the eBook for loan.
We will vote on the book to discuss at March's meeting. Please register on RecDesk to receive an emailed list of titles and descriptions of books for you to review. We will vote at the end of the meeting.
Please bring a chair; we have flashlights available for the evening.
This event will be rescheduled if the forecasted temperature is below 40 degrees, or if there is rain in the forecast. The decision to reschedule will be made no later than 4:00 PM Monday, February 23rd. All participants will be notified via email of cancellation.
Accessibility: The parking lot of the Northlake Nature Center is gravel, and there is a portalet for restrooms. The path leading to the outdoor amphitheater from the parking lot is a ground-level boardwalk followed by maintained brick.
