Join Tacoma On the Go for our annual bike ride with elected officials and city staff on Monday August 31st! There’s lots of new infrastructure coming to Downtown Tacoma- and outside of downtown. We’ll highlight what’s new, what’s missing, and what Tacoma’s bike network could be. This is an opportunity to engage directly with council members and city staff about biking in Tacoma.
Monday August 31st, beginning and ending at 2nd Cycle (1205 MLK Jr Way)
5 pm – 7 pm
We expect to be joined by Tacoma Councilmembers Walker, Sadalge, Diaz, and Palmer, and County Executive Mello. Subject to change.
Pre-registration encouraged for this ~4 mile ride. A helmet and completed waiver are required for participation. This is a conversation-pace no drop ride. There will be some hills, which will be taken slowly. Kids confident on bikes are welcome with adult supervision.

Cycling is the primary mode of transportation for many Tacomans. When bike infrastructure is done well, biking can be a joyful, efficient, and sustainable way to get around. When there’s missing links, it can feel dangerous and isolating. Active transportation is a topic where Tacoma can be a national leader, with investment and dedication.
