PEACEFUL MUSLIM FAMILIES LEADERSHIP TRAINING – REGISTRATION OPEN
The Mayor’s Office of Muslim Engagement, in collaboration with the @Peaceful Families Initiative and the Majlis Ash Shura, is hosting a leadership training for Imams, chaplains, Muslim scholars, and community leaders focused on supporting healthy Muslim families and strengthening faith-informed approaches to accountability, safety, healing, and family wellbeing.
This training serves as the first offering within the new:
MUSLIM FAITH LEADERS CARE & RESPONSE INITIATIVE
This city-supported initiative is designed to strengthen the capacity of Muslim faith leaders and community caregivers to better support individuals, families, and communities navigating crisis, trauma, mental health challenges, emergencies, chronic health concerns, and family harm.
Topics will include:
• Islamic guidance on family wellbeing and protection
• Understanding family violence and harm prevention
• The pastoral role of Muslim faith leadership
• Faith-informed approaches to accountability and healing
• Connecting families to trusted community and professional resources
