Paws Land: Animal Rescue Documentary Film Screening

Come experience a powerful documentary and take home a piece of the story.

Paws Land (毛家) was filmed between 2019 and 2023. Director Cheuk-man Au follows an animal rescue group on the front lines, not just the animals they save, but the people making difficult decisions with limited resources and uncertain outcomes. It is a film about humanity, about every decision changing a life.

It reveals something quietly powerful about the unseen stories in this city.

This is beyond a movie screening. The Paws Land Community Series brings together community stories and artwork into an afternoon. We open with a song playlist recommended by the community about animals, followed by a mini film festival: A Visual Letter To Your Animal, then the Vancouver premiere screening of Paws Land.

All attendees receive a free copy of Vancouver On Ink Paws Land Special Edition, featuring local stories and artwork inspired by animals in our neighbourhood.
