Bring your friends, whānau and your dogs!
Join us for a special QLDC x WAI community clean-up at the beautiful shores of Lake Wānaka. Grab your lead, bring your pup, and head out for a feel-good walk while helping give back to our lake, together we’ll be removing rubbish from the lakefront and learning how we can protect local freshwater!
This event also celebrates our four‑legged companions!
Your pups will have the chance to shine with:
- A Dog Trick competition
- Prize for best on-leash etiquette
- Learning how to keep dogs safe around toxic algae
- Plenty of pats and photo ops
We’ll provide all the clean-up gear, just bring comfy shoes, a drink bottle, and weather-appropriate gear.

Everyone is welcome!
Please note: This is an on-leash event. While this area is normally off leash, for the purpose of this event we ask that all dogs remain on lead for the duration of the clean-up to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
