PAWS for PAD: Awareness Walk & Dog Adoption Event

Walking with your dog is one of the easiest ways to prevent Peripheral Artery Disease. Join us for an awareness walk & help dogs find homes!

Research shows that dog owners walked an average of 22 minutes more per day compared to non-dog owners.

Walking is also the best way to prevent and slow the progression of plaque build-up in your leg arteries and, consequently, slow the progression of PAD. Walk your furry friend or adopt one of your own at our 5th Annual PAWS for PAD 2026 Awareness Walk & Dog Adoption in Rogers, Arkansas!

What you can expect:

• Food and drinks will be available for purchase
• Water, Gatorade, and snacks will be provided
• Dogs on-site looking for their forever homes and new walking buddy
• Local medical providers in attendance to volunteer, educate, and help bring awareness to PAD

Info: Meet at Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center, Saturday, September 12th at 10:45am to get ready for the awareness walk that starts at 11am. Our clinic address is 5433 W Walsh Lane, Rogers, AR, 72758. Be sure to bring your dog if you have one!

PAD Awareness Trail Walk with Dogs

Info: Our group will continue with a short 0.9 mile walk on the Osage Creek Trail, to Natural State Beer Company (5214 Village Pkwy Suite 140, Rogers, AR 72758).

Dogs on-site & Available for Adoption!

Info: Dogs from local shelters will be on-site & available for adoption from 11:00am - 3:00pm! We've teamed up with a few local shelters to have 8-12 shelter dogs looking to be rescued. Whether it'll be your first dog, or you're wanting to add to the pack - these sweet dogs need a home!

Info: Visit booths to learn more about PAD, local dog businesses, and more! Local medical providers will be in attendance to volunteer, educate, and help bring awareness to PAD. Dog centered businesses will also be on site to offer specials for new and current dog owners!
