Every community has a few special places that define its character, and for decades, the Pause Awhile Tearoom was exactly that for Waterdown. It was a place of warmth, connection, and incredible hospitality.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Flamborough Heritage Society is bringing that legacy back to life with a special community afternoon tea fundraiser. There will be 2 services with a program of speakers sharing memories of Pause Awhile and its founders Margaret and Jim Robertson.

First Service: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
Second Service: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Supporting Local Heritage: While this afternoon will be a proud celebration of our local roots, it serves a vital purpose: raising the essential funds required to operate the Flamborough Archives. Our archives protect the photographs, documents, and family histories that keep Flamborough’s identity alive for future generations and support the hundreds of inquiries received each year.
