Learn the Foundations of Professional Pattern Cutting & Garment Development

Join our 3-week creative pattern-making workshop designed for adults (18+) in Enfield and the surrounding area who want to develop practical fashion design and garment construction skills in a supportive learning environment.

If you are unable to attend the first session, you will need to wait until the current three-week programme has concluded. You will then be able to join when the next six-week workshop is launched.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

This structured programme will be held twice weekly, on Thursday and Friday afternoons. The programme introduces participants to the fundamentals of flat pattern cutting, garment development, and calico toile construction through step-by-step guided learning and one-to-one support.

Throughout the programme, participants will:

  • Learn how to draft a 1/4-scale skirt block
  • Develop understanding of body measurements and garment structure
  • Explore pattern cutting techniques and pattern manipulation
  • Progress from scale development into full-scale pattern drafting
  • Construct a calico sample garment for fit analysis
  • Build confidence using professional fashion-making techniques
  • Receive individual guidance and technical support throughout the course

The workshops are designed to support beginners, emerging creatives, fashion students, and community learners interested in developing technical fashion skills in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

By the end of the programme, participants will leave with:

✔ A completed 1/4-scale skirt block

✔ A full-scale skirt pattern

✔ A constructed calico sample garment

✔ Improved understanding of garment fit and construction

✔ Greater confidence in fashion pattern-making processes
