Grammy winning guitarist Pat Donohue along with several of the finest, most entertaining musicians around play an astonishing variety of American music, including blues, jazz, folk, R&B and Pat’s own originals. Born of the Guys All Star Shoe Band from MPR’s A Prairie Home Companion, this group can and does play it all, and what a great time! They will be joined by special guests Rich Dworsky and Joe Savage, who will supercharge this night. Their holiday show is not to be missed.
Grammy winning fingerpicker Pat Donohue ’s devotion to acoustic guitar has made him an American standard, as he echoes the tones of Robert Johnson, Blind Blake, Merle Travis or Muddy Waters. Chet Atkins called Pat one of the greatest fingerpickers in the world today; Leo Kottke called his playing “haunting.”
