About this Event

Each 'and poetry' workshop confronts a human experience and attempts to harness it for the good of our wellbeing and creativity. This could be our most ambitious tackle yet. Passion is, in many ways, unharnessable. It is a breathing, panting thing that's behind the most beautiful art and the most devastating war. it's personal and intimate, global and infinite. However, if there's one community that is up to task it's the ever expanding 'and poetry' people. Bring the energy- steamy, rageful and crazed and together we'll create an unforgettable evening and, no doubt, some incredible poetry.

Our workshops consist of grounding, discussion and poetry focused around a central theme. We welcome experienced poets, novices and everyone in between. We're a diverse and inclusive space. The workshop is facillitated by award winning spoken art poet, Fuad Busoir and mental health practitioner, Helena Shears. We partner with The Thingy Cafe, a wheelchair accessible community cafe. Please resist bringing outside snacks and drinks, as they have a well stocked bar and cafe!
