The pawpaw is the largest fruit native to North America, and it has played an important role in our history, so why has it become America's Forgotten Fruit? Join us for a Party in the Pawpaw Patch to learn more!
Registered guests can check in at the Bluebird Barn anytime between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM. You will have an opportunity to watch a video in the barn to learn all about pawpaw trees. Then, you're invited to follow the ADA trail to the island where Ranger Clare will be at the pawpaw patch with treats, crafts, and more. Registered guests will get a chance to forage for pawpaws and take a few home.
Please come prepared to walk approximately 2 miles along both paved and unpaved surfaces. For more details about the route, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
The cost of this program is $10.00 per participant. Children under 5 are free with a paying adult. Please come prepared with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
