Parliament of NSW - 2026 Regional Public Speaking Competition State Final
About this Event
Hear the voices shaping the future of NSW!
Join us in the Legislative Council Chamber as nine of the state’s best young speakers take to the floor to compete for the title of 2026 Regional Public Speaking Competition State Champion.
From Tweed Heads and Ulladulla to Scone, Bowral, Cowra, Albury and Macksville, this year’s competition has brought together school students from across NSW to develop their confidence, challenge themselves and share their ideas.
Finalists will deliver a six-minute prepared speech, followed by a three-minute impromptu speech responding to one of three topics revealed on the day.
Note: If required, we will allow people to leave and enter between speeches to minimise disruption. Walk-ins accommodated where capacity allows.
