When Victoria is experiencing its highest rates of homelessness in living memory, there's never been a more urgent time to consider homelessness as public health priority.
The latest edition of Parity spotlights "Homelessness as health emergency", exploring how homelessness impacts a person’s health, how services are connecting people to healthcare, and why we need to design integrated, multi-disciplinary responses.
Inside this edition:
· Churchill fellow Jon Swain on the health impacts of extreme heat for rough sleepers.
· Peer support workers on why they see homelessness as an urgent health emergency.
· New data reveals how we are ‘paying for homelessness in hospital beds’.
