Join Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn of Ravy Cakes, LLC for a sweet Parisian-inspired cookie decorating experience filled with beautiful colors, delicious cookies, and plenty of hands-on fun. This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone who loves being creative, wants to learn the art of cookie decorating, or simply wants to enjoy a fun and inspiring experience.
Students will work with freshly baked, delicious sugar cookies while learning how to decorate with royal icing in different consistencies. Chef Dawn will demonstrate how icing consistency affects outlining, flooding, piping, and decorative details, helping students understand how to achieve a beautiful finished cookie.
During this hands-on class, you’ll learn techniques for:
- Preparing and working with royal icing
- Understanding different royal icing consistencies
- Outlining, flooding, piping, and adding decorative details
- Using edible embellishments to give your cookies that extra Parisian flair
- Creating beautiful designs with beginner-friendly techniques
- Finishing your cookies with professional-looking touches
Chef Dawn will also prepare royal icing during class and share some of her favorite baking, cake decorating, and cookie decorating tips and techniques along the way.
No previous cookie decorating experience is necessary! Whether you're a complete beginner, a creative looking to try something new, or simply ready for a fun day out, you'll receive guidance throughout the class while creating your own charming collection of Paris-inspired cookies.
