Join us for our Parent Carers Week Celebration
This Carers Week, we are celebrating the incredible parent carers of Hull AND the "Support Village" that stands alongside them.
Parent carers we hear you, we see you and we know how you are the ones juggling every ball, spinning every plate, and navigating the relentless cycle of appointments, school meetings, and sleepless nights not to mention the weight of the emotional worry you carry.
At times this can all feel very isolating and we know that how important and validating it is to connect with others who understand, others who are on the same journey often facing very similar challenges. This is why we do what we do, offering a safe space to connect with others, empowering parent carers and signposting to resources and information all year round.
But as it is National Carers Week, between June 8th-14th, we wanted to bring you something to celebrate how incredible you are.
We also know as parent carers ourselves we need or rely on support from others around us. Whether that is a grandparent, another family member, a friend, a neighbour or a PA, its often vital support we would struggle without. Maybe your "support person" takes care of your child while you go shopping, go to an appointment or meeting, maybe they run errands for you collect parcels. They might watch your children so you can get some well deserved rest, offer a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Regardless of what their support looks like we would are like to give you the opportunity to bring along your "supporter" along to join us for our celebration event.
Whether you come with a supporter or come on your own to find some peace, you will find a warm welcome and a community that truly understands the reality of your day-to-day life."
