Paradise PG - an afternoon of tropical splendor
About this Event
Paradise PG will be a tropical celebration with small bites, wine, mocktails, music, and a festive photo backdrop. Bid on local wine, a B&B stay, and historic Pacific Grove items, including watercolor art by Sam Colburn.
We're celebrating our generous donors, dedicated garden crews, and Pickup Posse volunteers who have made our three gardens possible and now maintain them to make sure they thrive, and who pickup litter to keep Pacific Grove beautiful. Join us to reconnect with friends, meet neighbors, and get a first look at our next PGCares project, draft plans, and ways to share input.
Registration is complimentary for Pacific Grove Cares volunteers and donors.
Enjoy the new landscaping at the Community Center, thank the donors and volunteers, and gather with friends and neighbors.
Register early to reserve your place and help us plan food and beverages. Then place it on your calendar for Aug 22, 2026 from 3-5PM.

Pacific Grove Cares maintains Chase Park West and Caledonia Park Garden and is enhancing the landscaping around the Pacific Grove Community Center. Our Pickup Posse helps keep Pacific Grove beautiful by collecting litter, and we welcome new volunteers.
Pacific Grove Cares is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-4737679) dedicated to restoring, maintaining, and enhancing Pacific Grove’s public landscapes.
Donations fund plants, materials, tools, and supplies, and we’re proud to partner with the City of Pacific Grove’s Public Works Department.

Welcome and opening festivities
Info: Enjoy music as you enter the courtyard to sign in. be sure to notice the new trees and plants that have been added. Come in and enjoy something to eat and drink. Wander among the silent auction items to select your favorites, then make a bid.

Music and Special Presentation
Info: Along with community social time, there will be music and a visual presentation and description of the pre and post landscaping project at the Community Center will be given. Following that draft proposed plans for the next potential project phase will be shown and guests will be encouraged to give feedback and comments.

Social time and Silent Auction and More
Info: Silent auction items will be available to view and bid starting at 3PM but notice will be given that it will close at about 4:30PM in order to notify winners. The event will close at 5PM
