Paper, Print and Packaging: In–Person Workshop

We think that the design industry requires people to be more skilled than ever before and traditional educators are finding it hard to remain relevant. We want to address this by creating a collection of lessons that are led by guest lecturers who specialise in diverse disciplines. It is now time to provide opportunities for professionals to find the knowledge needed for a successful future.

Guest Lecturer
Luigi Carnovale is an independent graphic designer and founder of DesignLSC. His practice centres on thoughtful, idea–led design with a strong emphasis on craft, materials and print. He works with clients across the UK and Europe, to support projects from strategy and concept through to production and delivery.

DesignLSC is known for its work in ideas based print design, brand identity and packaging, but his practice goes far beyond client projects. Luigi has built a parallel path working with material companies, contributing to education, and creating self–initiated projects that support artists and promote design thinking.

Lesson Outline
This workshop will include a number of parts designed specifically by Luigi based on his 30 year career.

Tickets
Access to this workshop is limited so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. A small number of early bird tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

Venue
Based in the heart of Manchester's bustling city centre, Joshua Brooks is a multi–purpose venue that has seen some of the world's most iconic DJ play in their basement club whilst the ground floor bar is a hotspot for sports and live events. Our workshop will take place in their new Clubhouse (floor two) offering attendees the opportunity to maximise the private booths and open–plan social space.

In order to remain intimate no more than 30 people will be able to sign–up but we will continue to repeat workshops regularly.
