In conjunction with the exhibition by Alison Knowles: A Retrospective (1960–2022)

Best known as a founding member of the interdisciplinary art collective Fluxus, Alison Knowles (1933–2025) was an important figure in the downtown New York City community and beyond for more than half a century. Her work combines elements of musical scores, live performance, and experimental printmaking, and invites audiences to explore daily life through simple actions and everyday objects. Moderated by exhibition curator Dr. Karen Moss, this panel discussion will present the latest scholarship about Knowles by some of the leading authorities on her artistic production.
