As we commemorate 10 years of the Media Arts Center at Palo Alto High School, we celebrate a decade of student journalism and the remarkable achievements fostered within its walls.

About the MAC

The MAC has been a cornerstone of creativity, leadership, and excellence, empowering students to tell impactful stories and engage with their community. As we look to the future, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting student voices, upholding journalistic integrity, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence for generations to come.

How to support MAC programs

To maintain this vision, we call on the extended PALY community of parents, alumni and local businesses to support the journalism pathway and its 15+ student-run publications by attending the MAC 10 year anniversary event and making a donation or purchasing a sponsorship or an in-publication advertisement.

Additionally, through the PALY Pavers program, PALY community members can show their support by purchasing and customizing a paver stone at the entrance to the MAC building on the Palo Alto High School campus. [link to pavers website]

100% of funds raised through this event and the PALY Pavers program will be used towards attendance at student journalism conferences, the purchase equipment and additional resources for student journalists and to offset the rising costs of printing and distributing multiple publications now and for years to come.
