About this Event

The workshop commences Wednesday 15th of April at10am and will run every Wednesday for 6 weeks with an option of a 7th week called 'whirl and twirl'. Every Wednesday in Wellington Hall in Dundalk for 6 weeks.

Louth Local Sports Partnerships are creating an opportunity for Older Adults (over 55) to get more active through collaboration with Age and Opportunity. The mission of the Active programme, the national programme for sport and physical activity for older people. Learn some gentle exercises to improve your balance, try your hand at kurling or bowling.

PALs (Physical Activity Leaders) is an initiative which trains older people to lead sport and activity sessions in their local groups and communities.

How does it work?

Anyone training to become a PAL will need to attend six different workshops (five hours each) with an option of a seventh dance class after the six weeks. This initiative is FREE to participants and is delivered in partnership with Age and Opportunity.

Or, you may need to restrict your activities to those which are safe for you. Talk with your doctor about the kinds of activities you wish to participate in and follow his/her advice.

You should understand that when participating in any exercise or exercise program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in this exercise or exercise program, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release and discharge Louth Local Sports Partnership from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of participating in the online fitness video sessions.

Enjoy and stay safe- the LLSP team
