Unstructured relaxation time as we listen to Bartleby The Scrivener by Herman Melville.The plot of Herman Melville's "Bartleby, the Scrivener" centers on a Wall Street lawyer who hires a quiet, diligent copyist named Bartleby. After some efficient work, Bartleby begins refusing to do tasks, politely stating, "I would prefer not to," which eventually leads to him refusing all work and living in the lawyer's office. The lawyer, unwilling to force Bartleby out, now faces the dilemma of how to handle these strange events.

Chill out on in a low-hung hammock silk or on your yoga mat while we listen to this month's offering. Nikki will offer some pose suggestions at the beginning of class, but you may move into your desired restful poses as you wish throughout the event.
