A laid back 4-week class recreating famous paintings while building real painting skills. No pressure, just paint.
About this Event

Ever looked at a famous painting and thought, “How did they do that?” Or even… “I could do that.” Then put your skills to the test!

This 4 week class is all about slowing down, having a good time, and diving into the world of master paintings. Each week, you’ll work from iconic artworks while learning techniques artists have used for centuries, from color mixing to brushwork to composition.

Class Dates:

This class meets on Saturdays from 11am-1pm for 4 weeks.

The vibe is relaxed and social, but you’ll still walk away with real skills and a deeper understanding of how paintings come together.

We’ll cover:
• Color mixing and layering
• Brush techniques and paint application
• Composition and proportion
• Turning a reference image into your own painted version

High quality prints will be provided, or bring an image of a favorite piece you’ve always wanted to try.

By the end, you’ll have your own take on a masterpiece and probably a new appreciation for the originals.

Materials and supplies provided.
All skill levels welcome.
Only 10 spots available.
For students 16+.

Classroom: Painting Studio, Room 118.

Parking:
Free parking is available in the ECAT Wayne parking lot outside of business hours. The lot entrance is on E 7th St (one way) and includes accessible spaces near the front entrance.

Cancellations and Refunds:

We’re excited to run each class as planned, but a minimum number of participants is needed. If enrollment is low, we may need to reschedule or cancel. If that happens, you can transfer to a similar class or receive a full refund.

If your plans change, you can receive a full refund with at least one week’s notice before the first class. Cancellations made within one week of the start date are not eligible for a refund. Processing fees may apply.

We’re not able to offer refunds or credits for missed classes, but feel free to reach out if something unexpected comes up.
