Painting Moments retrace l’histoire bouleversante de Nick Palazzo, jeune peintre d’un talent exceptionnel et d’une créativité foisonnante, emporté par le sida avant l’âge de 30 ans. Porté par les propres écrits intimes de l’artiste — où il évoque sans détour ses amours et ses passions — et enrichi par la projection de centaines de ses œuvres, le spectacle propose également une lecture critique de son travail. Ce one-man-show d’une grande force offre un portrait vibrant, sensible et profondément humain d’un artiste à l’aube de sa vie. Texte adapté pour la scène par Mary Melfi et Sharon Malone du Théâtre Primal.

Painting Moments tells the true-life story of Nick Palazzo, a brilliant and prolific young painter who died of AIDS before his 30th birthday. Using Nick Palazzo’s own journal entries for material in which he describes his gay love affairs, and showcasing hundreds of his paintings on a projection screen, as well as providing critical analysis of his work, this one-man show offers a graphic and detailed portrait of an artist as a young man.

Adapted for the stage by Mary Melfi and Sharon Malone from the book of the same title by Mary Melfi starring Nick Fontaine as the artist, Nick Palazzo.
