About this Event

As part of HAPPENING Multicultural Festival, a city-wide celebration of immigrant, refugee, and newcomer artists in Toronto, this panel brings together three visual artists whose mural work intersects with community, identity, and collective storytelling.

Panel Overview:
Painting Legacy: Public Art, Memory & Coexistence is a conversation about how public art—especially murals—can serve as powerful tools for building connection, preserving memory, and fostering respectful coexistence in our communities. The panel brings together artists whose practices intersect with community, identity, and collective storytelling.

This session is designed as both a dialogue and an inspiration point for artists, arts workers, and organizations interested in using creative practices for social connection and transformation.

This event is designed as both a dialogue and an inspiration point for artists, arts workers, and organizations seeking to use creative tools for social connection and transformation.
