Painting in the Park: Tree of Life

Celebrate creativity and nature in week three of our new series with Tree of Life at Buncombe County Sports Park. In this imaginative painting project, participants will design a textured tree trunk using pointillism techniques and create vibrant foliage with sponge-dabbed leaves. This lesson focuses on texture and the use of unconventional tools, encouraging artists to explore new ways of making marks beyond traditional brushes. Set in an outdoor park environment, participants will experiment with playful techniques, build artistic confidence, and discover how texture can bring their nature-inspired artwork to life.
This new series of beginner acrylic painting lessons is open to participants 7 years and older. All participants paint the same subject with room for personal style and variation. Subject changes each week with varying painting techniques taught.
The event will be held at the shelter in Buncombe County Sports Park.
$10 registration is required.
