Painting in the Park: Sunset Silhouettes

Experience the magic of evening skies in week four of our new series with Sunset Silhouettes at Buncombe County Sports Park. In this inspiring painting project, participants will create their own “Asheville Sunset,” blending rich sunset hues into smooth gradients before adding bold silhouette features to complete the scene. This lesson focuses on gradient blending techniques and the artistic impact of silhouettes, helping artists explore color transitions, contrast, and composition. Set against the backdrop of the outdoors, participants will develop foundational painting skills while capturing the beauty and drama of a vibrant sunset landscape.
This new series of beginner acrylic painting lessons is open to participants 7 years and older. All participants paint the same subject with room for personal style and variation. Subject changes each week with varying painting techniques taught.
The event will be held at the shelter in Buncombe County Sports Park.
$10 registration is required.
