About this Event

The event begins with a short talk, live painting, and demonstration, followed by a hands-on blindfold painting activity where participants create using touch, intuition, and imagination.

Expect plenty of laughter, creativity, and a few surprises along the way. No art experience is needed—just come ready to try something new, have fun, and discover what happens when you let go and create beyond sight.

John Bramblitt is an internationally recognized artist based in Texas who lost his sight in 2001 due to epilepsy and Lyme disease. Turning to painting as a way to reconnect with the world, he became the world's first blind muralist and is recognized as a pioneering figure among blind artists worldwide. His work has reached audiences in more than 120 countries and has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the BBC, and the Discovery Channel. His work is exhibited around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and the Kennedy Center.

Many thanks to the TCC Foundation for making John’s visit and workshop possible.
