Y ou will learn to cut glass, apply copper foil and solder as you create your own stained glass Spider and Web piece. Ages 13 and Up,
M ultiple Patterns available. Beginner Friendly to advanced. A great way to practice glass cutting and learn basics of copper foil method and soldering.
You can break for lunch or bring a lunch
Located on RT66 there are great options for lunch or your welcome to bring your own. We have Ollie's Cafe, Tamale Boyz, Arnold's old Fashioned Hamburgers, Arbys, Carl's Coney Island, BillyRay's BBQ and more
As a Group We will be teaching you how to work in a private stained glass work station. You will learn the following
- how to apply a glass pattern
- Score/ Cut Glass with tools
- how to use a glass grinder to smooth edges
- the copper foil method. You will learn what kind of foil tape to use and how to burnish it onto the glass
- L earn skills on how to solder
- l will also show you how to apply a hanger
- w e will be using patinas to change the coloring of your solder to give a black or copper patina finish if wanted.
Outside Drinks and snacks welcomed. Cups must have lids and food kept in a container. We have a cold-water machine but we do not have a refrigerator.
We have limited space, all participants must be ticketed. Class Max is 12.
We have 2 Class Options.
- Class with Glass Included... You will choose any two 12x12 sheets of glass from Agitsi Gallery priced $19.99 and under and have access to all student glass. Any unused glass will go back into the student class glass.
- Class, glass not included... You will choose and buy glass from Agitsi Studio w/ a 20% off discount. Glass must be purchased at Agitsi studio, outside glass is not permitted. You will own your glass, so any unused glass will go home with you.
