🎨 Ready, Set, Paint! The Suffolk Plein Air Quick Draw: "Paint the Taste" ⏱️✨
Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled burst of creativity right in the heart of downtown! Open for all skill levels and ages, for an exciting, high-energy live painting competition: the Quick Draw - "Paint the Taste" event.
Witness the magic happen in real time as festival artists step away from the quiet landscapes and dive directly into the vibrant energy, delicious food, and bustling crowds of Main Street.
✨ The Challenge:
Artists have exactly 2 hours to set up their easels, capture the sights and flavors of the festival on canvas, and finish a complete painting completely from scratch before the countdown ends!
WHO: Open to Youth,10-17, and Adults & ALL Abilities
WHEN: Saturday, September 12, 2026 (11-1 pm)
WHERE: Historic Downtown Suffolk, Virginia
HOW: Pre-register online, or 9/12/26 @ 10AM at the Check-in Table.
COST: $10 / person, Artists provide their own easel & painting supplies.
PRIZES: CASH PRIZES: $300 Best in Show, $200 Second Place, $100 Third Place, plus Award Ribbons.

The excitement doesn't stop when the brushes go down. Immediately following the competition, all completed "Quick Draw" pieces will be displayed on easels for a lightning-fast public viewing and flash sale. This is your chance to buy a piece of fresh, local art with the paint practically still wet!
Come grab some incredible local eats, stroll the festival, and cheer on these amazing artists as they race against the clock to paint the taste of Suffolk.
