Spend a day immersed in art, landscape, and inspiration at the Paint Out at Ford House.This outdoor painting experience invites artists of all skill levels to create en plein air across 87 acres of extraordinary scenery. From views of Lake St. Clair and wooded paths to historic architecture and carefully designed gardens, Ford House offers a rich and varied setting for observation, interpretation, and creative expression.
Artists are encouraged to explore the estate, select a favorite view, and spend the day painting outdoors in a relaxed, supportive environment. The Paint Out at Ford House celebrates both process and finished work, offering artists the opportunity to frame and submit up to two completed pieces for a juried competition.
A Paint Out ticket also includes complimentary admission to the Fresh Paint Party, a closing celebration where artists and guests can gather, view completed works, and enjoy a complimentary drink ticket.
