Zach is a graduate of both Baldwin Wallace University and Southern New Hampshire University with degrees in Public History and Environmental Science. He enjoys using his creative skills to develop educational and outreach programs focused on conservation and the environment for the people of Sandusky County. Zach also hosts programs monthly at the county’s libraries and at various other locations throughout the county. Fun fact: Zach recently got married to his wonderful wife, Kristina, and for a special touch, they painted their wedding cake toppers at Pottery Perfection!
Zach will read "Drop: An Adventure Through the Water Cycle" by Emily Kate Moon. This 2021 children's book follows a 4.5-billion-year-old water droplet named Drop on a journey through the water cycle, explaining concepts like evaporation, condensation, and precipitation in a fun, narrative way. Part of the "Science Pals" series, the book uses humor and engaging illustrations to teach young readers about the hydrologic cycle, making science accessible and fun. It has been featured in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and is praised for its educational content and storytelling.
After the story is read, the kids will paint a delightful ceramic sunflower sauce dish as a fun keepsake of the evening. The cost of this event is $10 (non-refundable) per child. Registration is required by March 25.
