ABOUT THE BOOK:

The Ground Kisser is an award-winning memoir of a Vietnamese immigrant whose grandparents escaped China and built a successful life in Vietnam. Only two generations later, socialism/communism took everything from his wealthy family and hard decisions had to be made. This young girl's harrowing journey from Vietnam to eventually Alabama is a story of perseverance, courage through unimaginable circumstances, and an unwavering commitment to bringing her family to the USA.

Page & Table is a partnership between Reed’s GumTree Bookstore & Cooking as a First Language. It is a unique book & supper club that allows you to experience the flavors and culture expressed in a featured book.This event will feature Vietnamese fare from local chef Chris Jabil.

HOW IT WORKS:
Ticket price includes one (1) copy of the book and food and drinks at the event. Once you purchase your ticket, swing by Reed's GumTree Bookstore to pick up your copy of the book so that you can read ahead before the event.
