Pagan School Lammas Under 35s
About this Event
PAGAN SCHOOL LAMMAS 🌾
Join us on the 18th of July to learn all about Lammas! We will be learning seasonal chants, songs, myths and doing pagan crafts together. Afterwards there will be time for socialising and a small picnic. Please bring food to share.
Agenda:
Discussion circle
We will start the session off by reflecting on what we know about Lammas already, and sharing what we're grateful for during this season.
Storytelling
Sit back and learn about the Lammas season through ancient stories and myths. Learn about John Barleycorn, the ancient god Lugh and The Farmer and the Bogle!
Games
Lammas is all about festival energy - we will be doing a scavenger hunt and playing “pass the loaf”! 🍞
Craft
Our Lammas craft will be making corn dollies. All materials will be provided for you!
Chants & song
We will end our day of learning by singing songs and chants based around Lammas.
Songs we will be learning:
The wind that shakes the barley
Rosemary faire
Mirie it is
We all come from the goddess
Social & picnic
Aftetwards there will be time to connect with likeminded people and eat together. Ideal food to bring: bread and anything grain based! Please bring blankets or cushions to sit on.
Pagan School is a group for under 35s who are interested in learning about pagan spirituality, history, myths and rituals 🍃
The aim of our group is to establish and continue the pagan lineage in the wider community, giving people the tools and confidence to eventually take on ritual roles and leadership from pagan elders so that the lineage does not die out and our rituals and ceremonies can be carried on and enjoyed for generations to come! ✨
We want to educate as many people as possible about paganism as it has been a marginalised spirituality and deserves to be proudly and boldly celebrated and shared 🌺
We meet once a month to socialise, learn about the upcoming pagan celebrations and rituals, and do crafts and activities together (like making brigids crosses and corn dollies!)
We also attend the London Woodland Witches rituals such as Beltane, Yule and Samhain together.
About Evangeline:
Evangeline is your pagan school teacher! A singer, writer and shaman, she has been learning about and delving deeply into pagan and indigenous myths for the past few years. She hosts monthly rituals ranging from cacao ceremonies to goddess rites.
