Paddleboarding with Latinos Explorando

Latinos Explorando is inviting you to come explore Quinn’s Pond together in community by paddleboard during Latino Conservation Week, a time to celebrate our connection to the outdoors & the places we all call home.

We’ll start with a quick introduction to paddleboarding basics, water
safety, & what to expect on the pond before heading out together. No
paddleboarding experience needed, just come ready to learn, explore,
& enjoy the water at your own pace. We’ll paddle around Quinn’s Pond,
take in the evening scenery, & make space to connect with naturaleza
& comunidad.

We’ll wrap up back on shore with time to hang out, share some laughs,
some drinks & snacks & enjoy being outside together. ¡Una tarde para

Registration: Not required, but encouraged to let organizers know
you’ll be coming. Contact Latinos Explorando, @LatinosExplorando on

Activity Level: Easy

What to Bring: Wear water-friendly clothing (swimsuit, shorts, or sun
shirt), water shoes, & bring a towel. Bring water, sunscreen, & any
personal items you may need. A small waterproof pack (dry bag) to
carry water, snacks plus sunscreen and any other personal items is
recommended otherwise items can also be left in a car.

Required: A paddleboard with an invasive species sticker & a life
jacket are required. If you don’t have an invasive species sticker, we
can help you get one at the event! Some loaner life jackets will be
available.

Paddleboards: Idaho River Sports offers paddleboard rentals right at
Quinn’s Pond. Please plan ahead if you need to rent a board.

Accessibility: Quinn’s Pond offers calm water that makes it a great
place for beginners, while still giving experienced paddlers room to
explore. Parking & restrooms are available on-site.
