This weekend is the first of what will become regular Friday night gigs: we're going to kick it off with style, we're going to kick it off with dinner, and we're going to kick it off with these acts:Packed With Haste, the brainchild of the generous and indomitable (Elton) James Hodgett, is a live-produced ambient jazzy house act with soft, soulful vocals and deep bass.
Frog Impostor, created by Theydy's head honchos Niamh Bellicanta and Tim Evans, and filled out by gorgeous and notorious sweethearts Elton Jim, Aida Bernhardt, and Phoebe Campbell (plus a brassy celeb or two) is an amorphous and genre-bending project that could be called prog-folk: expect influences of Latin, Django, drum&bass, rhythm&blues, jazz, indie, and dub.
If you haven't yet had a chance to come to one of these gigs, this would be a good one not to miss. Come and have a taste of what we've been cooking up, because we are soooo excited to share it with you all!!!
Presale tix are up and, like dinner, they are on a sliding-scale model (your means=what you pay). HowEVER, door tix will be not be flexible. It's a hundred dollars on the door, non negotiable. So get those tix online people!
