Pack Walk at Saluda Shoals

Join us for our July Pack Walk at Saluda Shoals on Saturday, July 11 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Your Ambassador will be Chi Chi and your Admin for this event will be Jessica! We will be changing these up for our future walks - if you’re interested, please send me a message or post in the group!
Join us for our monthly Pack Walk! 🎉🎉
This month we are switching it up a bit by exploring Saluda Shoals! I love a good trail walk at Saluda Shoals and most of the trails are pup friendly.
This is a chance for you to meet other local companion owners, socialize and enjoy a relaxed walk together. Our group focuses on building a strong and supportive dog community right here in Lexington!
🐶 Color-Coded Bandana, Collar or Leash
To help everyone feel safe and comfortable, all pack members are encouraged to use a simple color system:
💚 Green – Friendly, social, loves dogs and people
💜 Purple - Possession, attention and/or food aggressive in certain situations (please let an admin know if this fits your specific dog - we will try to accommodate as best as possible)
💛 Yellow – Nervous, shy or needs space
❤️ Red – Reactive or not dog-friendly (requires distance)
All dogs should wear a color-coded bandana, leash, collar or visible marker that matches their temperament.
This system helps prevent uncomfortable interactions and keeps everyone safe!
🐕 Pack Walk Etiquette
To make each walk a positive experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
All dogs must be on a leash in accordance with the local regulations
Maintain safe distance
Always ask before allowing dogs to greet
Do not force interactions
Pick up after your dog and dispose appropriately
Bring water for you and your pup
Stay aware of your surroundings at all times
The geese are currently nesting and have goslings - please be cautious and do not let your pet interact with the geese, especially when around the goslings. The geese are aggressive - they will hiss and/or chase you.
⚠️ Safety & Behavior Expectations
Dogs should be up-to-date on vaccinations
If your dog is highly reactive, please come prepared to manage space
If your dog becomes overwhelmed, it’s okay to step away early
Owners are fully responsible for their dogs at all times
🤝 Community Vibes Only
This is a judgment-free, supportive space for dog lovers of all experience levels.
We’re here to learn from each other, build friendships and grow together! 🐾
