Pablo Murgier Quartet

Argentinian pianist and composer Pablo Murgier Pazdera roots his music in two worlds: the tango and folk of his home country Argentina, and the contemporary jazz of his adopted city Paris. His quartet, founded in 2017 in Buenos Aires, won the Primer Mundial de Orquestas de Tango and was nominated for the Premios Gardel as Best New Artist. Since then, Murgier Pazdera has grown into a pianist who has performed in venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Salle Gaveau and Radio France.
His most recent album Sirocco (2026) reflects that journey: from the tango palette of his debut Muy Lejos (2017) toward a sound world that brings together jazz, world music and chamber music. With Simone Tolomeo on bandoneon, Romain Lecuyer on double bass and Miguel Couto on drums, he delivers music that is as intimate as it is powerful.
