Pa’ Odoriko was born after performing alongside legendary violinist Alfredo de la Fe at the 2025 Salsa Congress. Inspired by that experience, the band developed a unique sound that blends salsa, Latin jazz, and charanga, drawing influence from Eddie Palmieri, Típica 73, La Dimensión Latina, and Orquesta Aragón.
The ensemble is led by Japanese flutist Ai Hagiwara and percussionist Luis Tovar, whose artistic vision combines memorable melodies, rich harmonies, and vibrant Latin and Caribbean rhythms. With an energetic yet sophisticated sound, Pa’ Odoriko honors the traditions of salsa and charanga while bringing them into a fresh, contemporary style for dancers and lovers of Latin jazz alike.
The band is currently developing original music that blends Japanese musical influences with Caribbean rhythms, creating a distinctive cross-cultural sound that reflects the backgrounds of its founders while celebrating the universal language of music.
