Own Your Game: Safe Play, Safe Futures (Girls Forward x Laadliyan Surrey)

Calling all girls ages 11-18! Girls Forward Foundation is partnering with Laadliyan to deliver a free, six-week empowerment and movement program for girls in Surrey this fall!

Running Sundays from October 5 to November 9, this program blends yoga and mindfulness, with powerful conversations and creative activities that help girls build confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of self — all in a fun, inclusive, and judgment-free space.

Each 1-hour session includes:

• Yoga & Mindfulness: Breathing, stretching, and grounding practices to support wellness
• Empowerment Curriculum: Topics like identity, communication, confidence, and leadership
• Group Connection: Safe space to build friendships and share experiences

Beyond Participation:

Own Your Game goes beyond sport — it promotes safe sport environments and addresses gender-based violence (GBV) through two key approaches:

• Within sport: Girls and sport leaders gain tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to GBV in sport settings.
• Through sport: Positive, inclusive experiences help girls develop resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging — protective factors that support long-term well-being.

Group Size: Max 15 participants
