Active in Community: 4-Week Program for Black, African, and Caribbean Youth ages 13 - 24.

Let’s get active—together! Join us for Active in Community, a free four-week program where youth come together to make friends, explore their local community centre, and build lasting habits of movement and connection.
✨ What to Expect:
Each Saturday, we’ll start in the cozy community room at Guildford Library for snacks, games, and fun activities that help people break the ice and form genuine friendships. You’ll get a custom name tag that sparks conversations based on your personality and interests—it's all about real connections, not small talk.From there, we’ll walk over to the Guildford Recreation Centre where you can try out different activities including:SwimmingGroup fitness classesTeam sportsPlay zones for kidsBoard games and more!Whether you're an extrovert or introvert, solo sport lover or bookworm, there’s something for everyone.
📅 Program Dates: Saturdays – October 11th, 25th, & November 1st, 8th.
🕒 Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: Guildford Library – Children’s Section (Community Room) & Guildford Recreation Centre
🎟️ Registration needed – So we know how much food to prepare!
This program is designed especially for Black youth.
Our focus is to build community, encourage healthy habits, and reduce social isolation.

FREE EVENT: To spend time with us is free, if you would like to use the community centre facilities after the event, the fees are listed below.
🎉 Community centre day passes from $2.25 - $7.50 (for after the scheduled event)
IF YOU NEED SUPPORT PAYING THE ENTRANCE FEE, WE DO HAVE FUNDING FOR A LIMITED AMOUNT OF PARTICIPANTS.
