We will use the My Milestones by Commerce tool to explore estate planning resources and where to start. It can be intimidating thinking about the future, as we never know what tomorrow may bring. Fortunately, there are tools individuals can use to prepare and plan for the unexpected and detail their unique wishes. In this session, we’ll dive into what an estate plan is, highlighting the different benefits it provides individuals—whether you’re in college or nearing retirement. After discussing what can happen if you pass away without an estate plan, the session explores key terms and common estate planning documents. While everyone’s situation is unique, we’ll cover checklist items that people generally follow when creating their estate plan. Finally, the session wraps up with an overview of estate planning mistakes to avoid, which can ultimately help give you and your loved ones peace of mind that your wishes are covered.

WEW events are all about connection and community, and we love sharing those moments. By attending a Women Empowering Women (WEW) meeting or event, you give permission for WEW and its organizers, leaders, and partners to capture and use photos, videos, or recordings that may include your image, voice, or likeness. These may be used – without compensation – for promotional, educational, or informational purposes across WEW print and digital channels.
All chapter meetings are FREE for anyone to attend. YES! You read that right.
(We just ask that if a chapter meeting is at a restaurant location, that you purchase a meal to support the location that is so graciously hosting our event. Don’t forget to tip your server a little extra as most restaurants are struggling with staffing issues and we want to make sure they know how much we appreciate them!)
Enjoy a proven, structured system that embraces the building of relationships which in turn will grow your business efficiencies, sales, exposure, and business processes.
Come meet and learn from panelists, experts, and local women in your WEW chapter. You will also find allies who want to help with your success and are ready to share their resources and expertise to help you take that next step in your personal and professional life.
