NATURALIST FOUND, NATURALIST LOST, THE STORY OF LULU BERRY WITH DENNIS SCHLICHT
Tuesday, February 18
Dennis is a local retired Biology Teacher and butterfly expert who will share with us this intriguing tale. In the first part of the last century, Benton County entomologist Lulu Berry became nationally recognized for her work with Underwing Moths (Catacola). Lulu was a correspondent with Bert Porter and is said to have traded specimens. Her life, however, was haunted by a series of unfortunate events. This is a tale of discovery and mystery that played to an unfortunate end.
