About this Event
Have you ever laid eyes on a River Otter or Wild Turkey? Have you ever heard the call of a Barred Owl at night? March is the luckiest time of the year to experience the sights and sounds of wild St. Lucie County. With over 11,000 acres of protected land to explore in the county, the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning Guided Nature Program series can introduce you and your family to local wild spaces. Join an experienced guide, get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of St. Lucie County. You might get lucky and experience something amazing!
· Friday, March 6 – Owls, Frogs & Bats, Oh My! Night Hike at Citrus Hammock Preserve (5:30pm-7:00pm) - Under the waning full moon, this adventure will take us through the hammock to listen for all sorts of nighttime creatures – owls, frogs, and bats, oh my! Participants will be provided with animal-friendly lighting options to illuminate their way.

ERD Guided Nature Program hikes are FREE, reservations are required, and space is limited. GNP season now runs from September through June.
