On August 22, I’ll be stepping far outside my comfort zone.I’ll be rappelling 11 stories down the Hotel Blackhawk to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley and to be completely honest, heights are not my favorite thing.
But this cause is worth it.
Community has always meant everything to me. It’s why I try to show up in as many ways as I can through the work I do at Pillar Chiropractic, teaching Salsa Essentials, organizing El Ritmo events, bartending at The Spotlight Theater, performing on stage at The Spotlight Theater and The Quad City Music Guild, supporting local causes like The Grey Matters Collective, and attending as many community events as possible to connect with and support my fellow Quad Citians.
Big Brothers Big Sisters creates something powerful: mentorship, stability, and opportunity for kids who deserve a strong foundation.
Every kid deserves that.
I’m setting a goal to raise $1,000, and I’m asking my friends, family, patients, dancers, theater friends, and community to help make it happen.
