Outdoor Adventures Summer Camp

Spend a week with the Chemung River Friends enjoying the great outdoors. We will play, explore, and learn about nature and what makes it so cool!

We will spend the week outside hiking, birding, playing outdoor games, making upcycled crafts, kayaking, and having fun! Campers will learn about the our natural world including how to identify birds via sight and sound, the importance of Leave No Trace principles, how to enjoy nature safely, and so much more. Each day we will exercise our bodies and our minds with hands-on outdoor activities and fun take home projects to share with your family!

Campers should be dropped off between at 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. and should arrive wearing closed toed sneakers and weather appropriate clothes; and have with them a change of clothes (this is an outdoor camp), sun screen, bug spray, a packed lunch Monday - Thursday, and an apetite for adventure! Lunch will be provided by River Friends on Friday!

Parents are invited to join us on Friday morning for Show and Tell, where campers will share everything they’ve learned throughout the week! Pickup is at 1pm, please arrive on time so our staff can assist in managing the pool goers. If you choose the swim option, campers will go to the town pool at 1 p.m. (weather permitting) and should be picked up at 2 p.m.
