Fifty years ago in 1974, the Town of Mississauga and the villages of Streetsville and Port Credit came together to form what we know today as the City of Mississauga. Over the past 50 years, the City has grown to be the third-largest in Ontario and seventh-largest in Canada.
To celebrate the City of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary, the Museums of Mississauga hid 50 artifact markers from our historic collection across the city as part of the History Hunt. Starting September 26, these artifacts will be taken “out of the vault” and displayed at Bradley Museum.
Make plans to visit the exhibition and explore the hidden stories behind each of these unique artifacts, offering a special glimpse into Mississauga’s rich heritage.
