About this Event
In this thought-provoking workshop, artist Tiina Salo-Devries invites you to reflect on the things in your current life that have become deeply meaningful—those treasured keepsakes you would choose to take with you if you were to move away.
The session begins with a group discussion about what has become dear to you during your time here. Is it a tangible object or something more intangible, like a memory, a feeling, or an experience? Together, we’ll explore the connections between physical objects and the intangible qualities they represent. Can an object encapsulate an emotion, a memory, or a sense of belonging?
After our discussion, you’ll have the opportunity to channel your reflections into a creative project. We will craft a large postcard that represents what you would send to your past self—capturing what you would take from this place. This exercise will explore how objects and memories intertwine, creating a personal memento of your journey.
This workshop is generously funded by TD Bank Group, Rama Gaming House Mississauga and Charitable Gaming Community Good.
**Note:** Due to issues with no-shows, your attendance is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation call from the Art Gallery of Mississauga. Space is limited to 15 participants, so early registration is encouraged.
