Learn Your Rights & Make a Plan to Vote!
Join us for a welcoming multilingual community event focused on helping people feel informed, confident, and prepared to vote in the upcoming election.
Interpreters will available for the entire event because everyone deserves to be heard and to fully understand their rights.
Join us in the Mississippi room of the St. Cloud Library for an event that will center the voices and experiences of those who are currently underrepresented in political spaces while warmly welcoming all community members. Because we know that when women, and especially immigrant, multicultural, queer, and working women vote, communities change for the better!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
5:00 – 6:00 PM: Registration & Voting Support
• Check your voter registration
• Register or update your information
• Get help from multilingual volunteers
• Make your personal voting plan
• Learn about early voting options
6:00 – 7:00 PM: Community Program
Topics include:
• Why voting matters in our everyday lives
• Schools, healthcare, housing, safety, and local decision-making
• How to vote in Minnesota
• Your rights as a voter
• Language assistance and voter protections at the polls
7:00 – 7:30 PM: Q&A + Community Discussion
Ask questions, join small group conversations, or participate in open discussion.
All ages welcome - we know that childcare is not an option for everyone so feel free to bring the kiddos if that is easier for you!
Early voting for the Primaries in MN begin on June 26 (and Sept 18th for the General) and so let’s make sure our community is ready!
Please bring a friend (or two), bring your questions, and bring your voice! We look forward to seeing you!
