Welcome to our next social event! You are all invited to join us on Southsea beach for a delicious picnic or a glorious vegan barbeque. Your choice entirely!
Note: Please check back here closer to the date as sea wall defences could potentially be moved here. If so, we will have to move further along!
We will meet at 1:30pm on the beach, directly opposite the zebra crossing by Canoe Lake.

Should the beach be busy, between 2:00 and 2:30pm we will find a good spot for us all. Please let us know if you will be arriving later so we can let you know where we are!
This is a BYOF (bring your own food) event. If you would like a bbq, please bring either a portable or disposable one as we can't guarantee there will be others available. Don't forget a lighter! We will aim to get the BBQs lit around 3:30pm.
Any food goes, as long as it is vegan. Burgers, hotdogs, pineapple, cauliflower wings, stuffed peppers, etc, etc. No obligation to share, but of course, you can if you would like to.
Feel free to also bring bathers so you can go for what may be the last chance for a summer swim this year!
It is probably worth bringing something to keep you warm as the evening begins to draw in.
Should the weather not be suitable for an outdoor event, we will instead have a social indoors. Please check back here (under "Discussion") near the time to check for updates.
If you know other vegans that may like to join, please feel free to invite them!
After the event, it is likely that a few of us will carry on the evening with social drinks. Everyone is welcome to come along.
There is limited parking nearby, typically 2 hours at a time, however you should be ok moving to a different spot. Alternatively, I can provide parking permits for KC zone which can get you as close as Eastern Villas Road (subject to spaces being available) which is just under 10 minutes walk away. Permits cost £1 each. Please leave a message in the discussion area if you would like one.
