We will start at Otford Railway Tunnel, walking to the end and then back. It's pitch black inside so you will need a torch. Takes about 2 hours, and is an easy walk but not for those who are claustrophobic. You will see lots of graffiti in the tunnel- it's a great experience. It's also wet in the tunnel and not flat, so you will need to be careful walking inside.
After a break, we will drive to Sea Cliff Bridge, walk under part of the bridge, then back up on the bridge and back, finishing off with a swim in Coalcliff Rock Pools/ beach (TBD) if you have time.
No toilets at Otford Railway Tunnel (suggest a toilet break stop at McDonalds Heathcote on the way there, its also a good spot to meet to carpool as there are limited parking spots at Sea Cliff Bridge). There is a toilet where we will park around Coalcliff Rock Pools for our Sea Cliff Bridge walk and back.
Hiking shoes recommended in the tunnel as its wet and has lots of loose concrete.
Must have a torch 🔦. Headlamp recommended.
Packed lunch.
Water to last all day.
Hat and sunscreen as there is no shade along the bridge.
Swimmers, towel, beach blanket.
